OUR LADY OF FATIMA

Ninety-four years ago, Our Blessed Mother appeared to the three children of Fatima. October 13th of this month commemorates the miracle of the sun witnessed by approximate 70,000 people, including reporters and photographers. This miracle was performed by Our Lady to show that she was indeed who she was and that people would believe. The people saw diferent variations of the sun's dance to the earth, and not only they saw it but people up to 40 kilometers away had also seen it. Scientist at the time had not report any unusual event of the sun. That morning it had rained all day, and when Lucia, the oldest seer had told everyone to look at the sun, the people were able to look at it without any problem and their soaked clothing had dried up completely. Many peopled after this miracle,and many were in awe.

Our Lady had a very clear message to give to the people.....to do penance and Acts of Reparation, and to make sacrifices to save sinners. She asked that we pray the Rosary every day. She further states that it will be the Rosary only that can bring true peace to the world. I am sure so many Catholics nowadays have never heard of Fatima, even less about the daily rosary, or even the idea of sacrifice. As traditional Catholics, we many need to step up to the plate and say not just one Rosary but maybe two or extra prayers to  comply with Our Lady's requests. We can also spread the word to other Catholics on the present need today, now that we see that we need to take this seriously and keep Our Lady's wishes as a number one priority in our lives. I know in this busy and distracting world, we get caught in life and and maybe not think so much about God and the Blessed  Mother except on Sundays. Let's make some attempt today, and not just pray when we are ill or think when we need Him!

Our Lady had asked that the Pope with all the bishops consecrate Russsia to her Immaculate Heart. We know that the Pope Pius Xll has consecrated the world to her Immaculate heart, and he had made some reference to Russia. Pope John Paul ll also consecrated the world to her Immaculate heart in 1984 with no mention of Russia. However, according to the magazine "Sol de Fatima" , in the 1985 September magazine, Sister Lúcia said that the ceremony did not fulfill the Virgin Mary's request, as there was no specific mention of Russia, and "many bishops were not too concerned. Many traditional Catholics believe her requests have not been adhered to and this is why we are again working on the million plus rosaries in hopes Our Holy Father Pope Benedict XV will consecrate, with the Bishops,the country  RUSSIA  soon,  so world peace will finally be obtained.
